As far back as the arly 20th century, the Maryland Science Center saw itself as the interpreter of science and technology to the public.  Today it continues to succeed in that role.  As one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the nation, today's MSC, combined with the state-of-the-art Davis Planetarium,  IMAX 3D Theatre, permanent hall showcasing dinosaurs and earth sciences, and a dedicated gallery for housing temporary exhibitions, is one of Baltimore's top attractions and a vital community resource.

The Maryland Science Center is located at Baltimore's Inner Harbor in downtown Baltimore. The Science Center is accessible from I-95 and I-295 from the south, I-95 and I-83 from the north, and I-70 to the west. Light rail and MARC Trains stop at Camden Yards, only four blocks away from the Science Center.
