Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum, in association with the Smithsonian Institute, is where America's most important, historic and comprehensive collection lives to tell the story of railroading every day. Forty acres of heritage and a world class collection await your discovery.   Located among Baltimore City's historic southwest neighborhoods, at the original site of the historic Mt. Clare Shops, the B&O Railroad Museum is recognized universally as the birthplace of American railroading.

Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
CLOSED on the following holidays: Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

The Museum is approximately ten minutes from Baltimore's popular Inner Harbor area and is easily accessible from Interstate 95 and the Baltimore Beltway, I-695. Entrance to the Museum grounds is located at the intersection of West Pratt Street and Poppleton Street.
